Bio

• A former NCAA national champion wrestler in 1963 and two-time All-American at Wheaton College
• Served as Taylor's head wrestling coach from 1969-1979
• Led the Trojans to a dual meet record of 119 - 21, and his teams placed in the NAIA Top 10 for six consecutive years from 1974 - 1979
• His teams won two district and six conference championships
• During that decade, thirteen Trojan wrestlers won All-American honors, five were national finalists, and one became a two-time national champion
• Recognized with "Coach of the Year" honors eight times
• Also honored with inductions into the Wheaton College Hall of Fame, the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame, and the Illinois Hall of Fame, among others
