The 2025 season is the first for Demeris Barlow as an assistant coach on Taylor’s staff. Barlow’s primary concentrations are working with the hitters and outfielders.

Barlow brings two total years of coaching experience with him to TU, having spent one year each at Saginaw Valley State University and Eastern Oklahoma State College as the hitting and infield coach. While with SVSU, Barlow guided the lineup to a single-season school-record in triples as the team had its most wins in a 10-year span.

Additionally, Barlow held the hitting coach and infield coach titles while spending two summers with the Lafayette Aviators of the Prospect League, a top Midwestern wood-bat collegiate summer league.

An accomplished multi-sport high school athlete, Barlow played baseball collegiately for both Indiana Tech and IU South Bend, the latter of which he graduated from in 2020 with a Business Administration degree.
