Willis, Lambert Set Season Bests at Marian

INDIANAPOLIS – The Taylor men's track and field team saw Max Lambert and Lextin Willis compete at Marian University's Last Chance Meet Wednesday afternoon, and they both recorded season-best marks in their respective events.

Lambert crushed his career personal-best mark in the hammer throw with a distance of 41.40 meters (135 feet, 10 inches), roughly four meters longer than his previous top collegiate mark and easily the top hammer throw for TU this season.

Willis finished just shy of his top career time in the 400 meters, though the sophomore did clock a new season-best time of 52.37 seconds in the race.

Taylor sends another contingent of athletes to compete at the Fighting Chance Invite in Joliet, Illinois, on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11.
