LIMA, Ohio – #RV Taylor (0-0-2) started brightly again on Saturday, leading the Racers 2-0 before a pair of goals in the final ten minutes forced another draw in the first road contest of the season.
The Trojans opened the scoring early in the match after earning a corner when Campbell Massey headed in a brilliant delivery by Brook Cimini for her first collegiate goal.
The rest of the half was played evenly, with neither team able to find the back of the net, allowing TU to take a one-goal lead into the break.
Audrey Grimm doubled the advantage for Taylor in the 68th minute. Morgan Fletemeyer delivered a terrific pass to the outstanding senior, who fired into the back of the net.
The Racers got two goals in the final ten minutes of the match, both from corners, which leveled the game at two and denied the Trojans their first victory.
Grimm was the focus of the TU attack, firing three shots, with two of them on target. Brianna Rawlings held her own between the posts, securing seven saves and keeping the Racers off the board for most of the match.
