Distance Crew Hits Four Qualifying Marks at Butler Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS – Taylor saw four athletes qualify for NAIA Nationals in their individual events on Saturday, as the Trojans made the most of a small number of athletes in action at the NCAA Division I meet.

Abby Mays provisionally qualified for Nationals in the 800, crossing in third place with a time of 2:18.49 to come in under the NAIA B-standard.

Noel VanderWall, Audrey Brinkruff and Mollie Gamble all hit the NAIA A-standard in their events to automatically qualify for NAIA Nationals.

VanderWall punched her ticket to Nationals with a time of 5:03.92 and a third-place effort in the mile, while Brinkruff and Gamble finished at 10:06.27 and 10:09.18 in the 3,000.

Taylor will host its next competition, with the Taylor Trojan Invite set for January 27.
