- Led the NAIA District in 1988 with a record of 8-2, with the two losses coming to NCAA programs
- Selected as NAIA District Coach of the Year three times
- Coached 39 All-District players, six NAIA Honorable Mention All-Americans and two 1st Team NAIA All-Americans
- Raised the standards for recruiting, competition, and excellence of play for Taylor University football
