Bio

• Became one of the outstanding golf coaches in the United States, including stops at the University of Florida, the University of West Florida, and the University of Alabama, where he coached the Tide to an SEC title in 1979.
• Helped establish the Alabama women's golf program
• Named NAIA national coach of the year in 1971 and twice named SEC coach of the year.
• A member of the PGA and first recipient of the prestigious Horton Smith Trophy from the PGA
• Coached many golfers who have played and succeeded on the PGA Tour
• Helped found the Special Olympics golf program
• Has published a book and numerous articles in such publications as the Metropolitan Golfer, Golfdome Magazine, and Golf Digest while also having served as a clinical instructor for both Golf Digest and the National Golf Foundation.
