No. 17 Taylor’s Opening Round Bracket Announced
UPLAND, Ind. – The NAIA released the qualifying teams and assignments for each of its 10 brackets in the 2024 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round on Thursday evening.
Taylor University's Winterholter Field is set to field a five-team bracket, with No. 7 Missouri Baptist (39-10-1), No. 17 Taylor (41-14), No. 23 MidAmerica Nazarene (34-17), RV Indiana Southeast (32-18) and Indiana Tech (32-22) seeded one through five in the Upland bracket, respectively.
Indiana Southeast and Indiana Tech kick things off on Monday, May 13, with the 11 a.m. contest.
Game two of the tournament features Taylor and MidAmerica Nazarene beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The final game on Monday will be played between Missouri Baptist and the winner of game one, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.
Game times for Tuesday's slate are also scheduled for 11 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Opening Round games run from May 13-15, with May 16 available if game nine is necessary. All 10 of the regional brackets are double-elimination, and only one winner from each advances to the 2024 Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, which begins on May 24.
