JACKSON, Mich. – Justin Devlin of the Taylor men's soccer team was named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League, as announced by the league on Monday, Nov. 13. The midfielder was one of 15 CL athletes to garner the honor.
Devlin made an immediate impact for TU as a transfer from Westcliff University, recording an assist in his very first match for the Trojans. The junior scored three goals and tallied three assists on the season for nine total points to lead Taylor's squad. The Trojans went 2-0-1 in matches that Devlin scored in, as his strong leg often led TU's attack.
The versatility of Devlin also paid off in the home stretch of the season when he was required to play multiple positions as both a defender and midfielder. The Belfast, Northern Ireland native's versatility also came in handy as the Trojans' go-to man for both corner kicks and free kicks to initiate offensive sets. Devlin started all 18 games TU played in 2023.
