
TU Softball Has Four Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

UPLAND, Ind. – Four members of Taylor softball have recently been named as 2015 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes: Mackenzie Hiers, Hannah Klebesadel, Taylor Murray and Erin Tice.
In order to be eligible to be named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status at their current institution.
402 softball student-athletes from around the nation earned the distinction, with William Carey (Miss.) landing the most individuals on the list with a total of ten scholar-athletes.
Hiers, Klebesadel, Murray and Tice were four of the 33 student-athletes from the Crossroads League to make the list, which is provided in full at the link above.
Taylor has now had 74 student-athletes named NAIA Scholar-Athletes during the 2014-2015 academic year.
