JACKSON, Mich. – Taylor's Nicole Jung has been named the Crossroads League Golfer of the Week following her runner-up finish at last week's Wolfpack Invitational.
Jung carded rounds of 81-75-74 amid challenging winds on the 5,963-yard, par-72 layout of Bayou Oaks South Course in New Orleans last week. The All-American notched the lowest score in the field during the final round as winds gusted upwards of 30 miles-per-hour to claim a second-place finish in the 49-player field.
With her strong performance Jung propelled the No. 19 Trojans to a third-place finish as TU lost to No. 7 Loyola and No. 4 Dalton State while claiming victories over No. 10 Williams Carey, No. 18 Campbellsville, and No. 22 Northwestern Ohio.
This is the sixth time Jung, the two-time Crossroads League Player of the Year, has been honored as the Crossroads League Golfer of the Week.
Jung and the Trojans return to action this weekend as Taylor host the Purgatory Intercollegiate at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana on April 1-2.
