
Taylor Takes Finishes Runner-Up at Purgatory
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The No. 19-ranked Taylor women's golf team fell out of the lead on day-two of the Purgatory Intercollegiate and finished in second place among eight teams at the 36-hole event.
After posting a leading score of 317 on Friday, TU combined for 329 on Saturday to slip into second place.
Eleanor Schuitema improved her total by one on Saturday to shoot a 78 and turned in Taylor's top finish once again, taking fourth place with a two-day total of 157.
Margarita Garrido followed one shot back with an 81 on Saturday to take fifth at 158, while Shayne Lim finished seventh. TU's other top finishes came from Ellie Beavins in 11th and Hope Haarer in 18th.
No. 19 Taylor will return to action on March 31 and April 1 at the Roadrunner Invitational in Dalton, Georgia.
