
Women’s Track Opens Indoor Season
FORT WAYNE – A small number of athletes competed at the Mastadon Open on Saturday, hosted by Purdue University Fort Wayne at the Lutheran Health Network Fieldhouse. The outing marked the start of the 2024-2025 indoor track and field season for TU.
Nicole Domene opened her sophomore season with performances in the 60, 200 and 400, posting times of 7.93, 26.93 and 1:00.18 to lead the Trojans in all three events.
Fellow sophomore Claire Bailey posted a time of 9.62 in the 60-meter hurdles and crossed in 1:54.18 in the 600.
Janna Teusch also started her second season with the Trojans by clearing 3.05 meters in the pole vault.
Taylor will jump into the bulk of its indoor season when it resumes competition on January 17 at the Indiana Tech Warrior Invite.
