
Siefert and VanderWall Post Wins at Warrior Invite
FORT WAYNE – Kiana Siefert and Noel VanderWall combined for three victories for Taylor at Indiana Tech's Warrior Invite, as the Trojans jumped back into their indoor schedule.
Siefert scored wins in the long jump and 60-meter hurdles to lead the way for TU. The junior posted a distance of 5.50 meters to win the long jump and a time of 9.17 to win the 60-meter hurdles.
VanderWall led a pack of six Trojans inside the top-seven finishers in the mile, provisionally qualifying for NAIA Nationals with an adjusted time of 5:04.27. Abby Mays, Kaitlin Burden and Emersyn Funk followed VanderWall across the line in second, third and fourth.
Taylor also dominated the field in the 3,000-meters, taking second through sixth. Sam Patterson led that group with a runner-up time of 10:32.56, while Audrey Brinkruff finished in third.
Addie Draper topped the Trojans in the 600-meters with a third-place time of 1:43.17 and Claire Bailey took second in the 60-meter hurdles and fourth in the 600.
Taylor will return to action on Saturday, January 25, when it hosts the George Glass Invitational.
