JACKSON, Mich. – Jaynie Halterman was selected as the Crossroads League Women's Indoor Track and Field Runner of the Week on Monday after her record-setting performance at the league championship meet.
Halterman was named the 2025 Crossroads League Indoor Championships Women's Runner of the Meet after winning the 3,000 and 5,000-meter races. In addition to her two victories, the freshman shattered the CL Championship and Taylor program records for the two races, easily met the NAIA A-standard and posted the best times of the year in the NAIA in each.
The two races marked Halterman's first of the indoor track and field season, and were her first races since capping an undefeated cross country season with the individual national championship in the fall.
The honor is the sixth of Halterman's young career and gives Taylor Athletics a total of 36 weekly league awards during the 2024-2025 year.
Halterman and the Trojans will close their indoor campaign at NAIA Nationals on February 27 through March 1.
