
Siefert Secures Hurdles Victory in Final Day of IWU Polar Bear
MARION, Ind. – Taylor completed action at the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Meet on Saturday, with Kiana Siefert securing a victory in the 100-meter hurdles.
Siefert collected the win with a time of 14.84 before finishing third in the long jump with a leap of 5.41 meters in the first action of the season.
Abby Mays collected a top two finish, placing second in the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:48.99 for the senior transfer.
The Trojans had a handful of other athletes participate in the season-opening meet, with Jessie Beaumont notching a career-best time of 13.16 in the 100-meters and a pair of athletes, Addie Draper and Emersyn Funk finishing fifth and sixth in the 800-meters with times just over 2:25.
The Trojans continue their outdoor season with the Washington Distance Carnival on Thursday March 27.
