UPLAND, Ind. – Taylor dropped a four-set battle against No. 25 Mount Vernon Nazarene (24-5, 10-3 CL) on Wednesday night inside Odle Arena.
The Trojans showed grit after going down 1-0, coming back to take the second set from the Cougars 25-19. MVNU had built a 10-6 lead before Taylor turned the set on its head with a 9-2 run, which featured a pair of kills apiece for Jaylynn Dunsmore and Gracie Conway. Another Dunsmore kill stretched the lead to 19-14, which was the largest of the night for TU. Three consecutive points from Taylor capped the impressive set with a 25-19 victory.
