The 2023 campaign is the second for coach Gabby Reed as a member of the TU volleyball coaching staff.

Prior to joining the Taylor volleyball community, Reed had accumulated a great amount of coaching experience, first as a Graduate Assistant at her alma mater, Lake Erie College, in Painesville, Ohio.

Reed served as a GA at Lake Erie from May 2017 through May 2019, a two-year stretch in which the team posted a record of 49-18, including the best record in program history in 2017. While at Lake Erie, an NCAA Division II program, Reed was involved in the team’s recruiting process, highlighted by the recruitment of the 2018 GMAC Freshman of the Year. During her two-year stint at Lake Erie, Reed coached seven players to First-Team All-GMAC recognitions.

Upon graduating from Lake Erie with a Master of Business Administration degree, Reed joined the coaching staff at Lake Ridge Academy, where she served as the head JV coach and as an assistant varsity coach for the volleyball program. Reed helped propel Lake Ridge to a 20-5 record, while training the Lorain County Division IV Player of the Year.

After the Lake Ridge 2019 season, Reed transitioned to a new role as the Northern Ohio Volleyball Club coach in Elyria, Ohio. With the club team, Reed coached 13- and 16-year-old athletes, focusing on skill development.

Aside from coaching, however, Reed also holds an impressive playing resume, being named to the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference All-Decade Team (2010-2020) for her performance at Lorain County Community College from 2013-2015. In 2014, Reed ranked sixth in the NJCAA Division III for kills, earning her First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-American honors.
