Trojans Remain in Top-5 in Most Recent NAIA Top-25 Poll
NAIA Release
UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor (77-4) women's cross-country team ranked No. 4 in the final NAIA Top-25 Poll before the Crossroads League championships next Friday, November 3.
The Trojans finished third in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic over the weekend behind two squads who are ranked ahead of them in the latest rankings.
Despite falling to an NAIA opponent, the Trojans set a new program record time in the 6k at 1:50.2. Noel VanderWall also set the new individual program record with a time of 21:07. Twelve athletes set new personal records in the race as the runners took advantage of a fast course and great racing conditions.
TU continued its streak of having an athlete honored as the Crossroads Runner-of-the-Week after each race, with VanderWall taking home the honor for the first time this season and the second of her career. Audrey Brinkruff and Mollie Gamble have also won the award this season.
The Trojans head into the postseason seeking its eleventh-consecutive Crossroads League Title on the Crossroads League Championships, which Taylor is hosting on Friday, November 3, as the women will race at 10:30 am.
