Quinn White Collects USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Women’s Coach-of-the-Year Award
USTFCCCA Release
NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its yearly collection of regional athlete and coach-of-the-year awards earlier this week, in which Taylor's head coach, Quinn White, was named the Great Lakes Region Women's Coach-of-the-Year.
Now in his 14th season at the helm of the women's cross country program at Taylor, White has been honored by the USTFCCCA as either the Great Lakes Region Men's or Women's Coach-of-the-Year four years in a row.
Throughout his coaching tenure within the Taylor women's cross country program, White has amassed an incredible career record of 1,389-213, which equates to a winning percentage of .867.
In 2023, White has coached the No. 4 Taylor (86-4) women to three team titles, including an 11th-consecutive Crossroads League Championship, while notching two individual titles as well. The Trojans led the way with four All-League members, with all four finishing in the top six.
The 2023 squad has had a terrific season despite a change in distance, as the NAIA National Championships will run a 6k for the first time this year. TU has only been defeated by two NAIA schools throughout the year, in a race when Taylor was missing one of its top three runners, while both squads are ranked in the top three of the NAIA Poll.
The Trojans have collected four Crossroads League Runner-of-the-Week awards from three separate athletes, showing the depth of talent in the squad.
Taylor is now making its 11th-straight appearance at the NAIA National Championships, where the Trojans have posted top-five team finishes on five different occasions, including raising the red banner last year as the NAIA National Champions.
