
Taylor Women Collect Nine NAIA Scholar-Athlete Awards

KANSAS CITY – The Taylor women's cross country team not only excelled on the course in 2023, but also achieved highly in the classroom as evidenced by nine NAIA Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete awards.
Only ten schools received more awards than the Trojans, among whom Dordt (Iowa) collected the most with a total of 20.
Anna Runion, Audrey Brinkruff, Elayna Kitt, Kaitlin Burden, Lynae Ackley, Madelyn Borchelt, Noel VanderWall, Rebekah Firestone, and Zoe Dinius were among 626 women's cross country student-athletes from around the country honored for their achievements in the classroom.
To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.
