Taylor Women Leap to No. 2 in Top-25 Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor women's cross country team leaped two spots up to No. 2 in the second in-season NAIA Top 25 Rating, released Thursday.
The poll marks the highest the Trojans have been ranked since they were the top-ranked team in the third in-season rating of 2023. It also serves as the 85th consecutive top-25 poll appearance for the program.
TU is yet to lose to an NAIA squad through two meets in 2024, and it garnered five first-place votes in the rating, behind only No. 1 Milligan's 14 first-place nods.
Both meets thus far have led to two wins and NAIA Runner of the Week accolades for freshman Jaynie Halterman, while Noel VanderWall, Ahna Neideck and Audrey Brinkruff have made appearances among the top 10 runners in at least one of this season's races.
Second-ranked Taylor hosts the Ray Bullock Invitational on Oct. 11 at 4 p.m.
