
No. 2 Taylor Just One Point Shy of Top Spot in Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor women's cross country team (53-1) received seven first-place votes and 577 points as it maintained its No. 2 ranking in the latest NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Rating, released Thursday.
TU, which is undefeated against strictly NAIA competition on the season, finds itself just one point behind top-ranked Milligan in the poll. No. 1 Milligan received 11 first-place nods among the 21 raters.
The Trojans have run each of their three races this season in under 1:53:00 as a team, including their most recent time of 1:52:49 on Oct. 11 at the Ray Bullock Invitational, which was three minutes faster than runner-up, No. 10 Grace.
No. 2 Taylor has its final meet before the Crossroads League Championships when it runs on Oct. 26 at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
