
No. 1 Taylor Women’s Cross Country Produces Three All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The No. 1 Taylor women's cross country team (113-2) capped its season Friday in Columbia, Missouri, with a 6k NAIA National Championship team-time record performance of 1:46:30.8 in a runner-up finish. Three TU athletes – Jaynie Halterman, Ahna Neideck and Noel VanderWall – placed in the top seven to cruise to NAIA All-American honors.
Taylor's trio were all well within the threshold of All-American status, with the top 40 individual runners at the championship meet being named All-Americans.
TU has picked up 25 NAIA All-American awards in program history, produced by 12 runners.
Halterman, a freshman, became the Trojan women's cross country program's 12th different All-American when she became its first individual champion with a national meet- and program-record time of 20:24.7.
Neideck closed her career with a sixth-place finish of 21:06.6 for her third All-American honor.
VanderWall, a junior, also collected a third All-American honor in as many seasons by finishing seventh with a time of 21:06.9.
