- Came to Taylor as a transfer student, lettered three years in track and field
- NAIA District champion in 1984 (one event), 1985 (two events), and 1986 (three events)
- Indiana Little State champion in the 200m in both 1985 and 1986
- NCCAA All-American in 1985 for the 200m and 1600m relay
- NCCAA All-American in 1986 in the 100m, 200m, 400m and 1600m relays
- Taylor records include 200m (21.6), 400m (48.7), 4 X 100m (42.2), and 4 X 400 (3:14.2)
- Selected the MVP for running events in the 1986 NCCAA National meet
