Bio

• Returned to Taylor in 1970 to coach the men's tennis team after graduating in 1962
• Won the HBCC championship in 1971 and then for four consecutive years from 1973 - 1976
• Team won the NAIA District Championship for eight consecutive seasons (1970 - 1977)
• The 1973, 1974, and 1975 teams won the District Championship by winning all six singles positions and all three doubles positions
• A member of the NAIA Hall of Fame
• Actively involved in the Sports Ambassador overseas basketball tours, including China in 1984, 1985, and 1988
• Involved in tennis umpiring for the Wimbledon Championships
• Received the ITA/Volvo Tennis Service Award in 1989
