2016 at Taylor: Continued to impress through second season on the hill for Taylor … Pitched in 22 games, starting nine outings and posting a 3.13 earned-run average over 63.1 innings … Went 3-3 with three complete games and team-leading four saves … Racked up 57 strikeouts to just 10 walks … Rated second on staff in appearances, complete games and strikeouts … Was top-three on team in starts and innings pitched … Finished third among all Crossroads League hurlers with 1.11 ERA in league play … Also rated third with four saves … Finished eighth in league by holding CL hitters to .211 average and eighth in total strikeouts … Ended season No. 10 in NAIA in walks issued and No. 39 with 1.4 walks per nine innings … Set career-highs in nearly every category … Posted 1.86 ERA with 22 strikeouts and only three walks in 19.1 innings out of the bullpen … Had 1.72 ERA in 14 appearances among TU’s 40 victories … Allowed 16-of-22 earned runs in five outings, posting 1.16 ERA and 0.94 WHIP over remaining 17 appearances … Transitioned into rotation near end of season and tossed first career complete game in a 5-2 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene on April 15 as part of TU’s key four-game sweep of the Cougars … Followed with six shutout frames on April 21 in a 5-0 win to open a four-game sweep of Indiana Wesleyan … Completed three of final six starts to close the season … Named Honorable Mention All-Crossroads League.
