2017 at Taylor: Turned in one of most prolific hitting seasons in Taylor history, while starting all 56 games … Set TU single-season program records with 94 hits and 26 doubles … Added additional career-highs with 229 at bats, 47 runs, 10 home runs, 37 extra-base hits, 63 runs batted in, 152 total bases, 18 walks, a .410 batting average, a .450 on-base percentage and a .664 slugging percentage … Led TU in games started, at bats, hits, doubles, extra-base hits, RBI and total bases … Topped the Crossroads League in batting average, hits, RBI, doubles and total bases … Rated second in CL for slugging, fifth in homers and ninth in runs scored … Production matched up with anyone on NAIA level, ranking second in doubles and fifth in hits in the nation … Also finished 19th in total bases, 36th in average and 37th in RBI among all NAIA batters … Feasted against non-league pitching for .458 average … Batted .465 in Taylor’s 35 wins … Clubbed nine-of-10 homers while at home, posting .414 average, .758 slugging and 40 RBI over 32 games at Winterholter Field … Ripped off a 34-game hitting streak from February 10 through April 11 … Batted .429 with 24 extra-base hits, 34 runs, 37 RBI and 17-multi-hit games during that stretch … Collected 27 multi-hit games … Went hitless in only five-of-56 contests … Had at least one run or one RBI in 41-of-56 games, as TU went 31-10 when he produced at least one run compared to 4-11 when he did not … Collected five hits and drove home five in Taylor’s 20-10 win at USF on April 15 … Selected to All-Crossroads Leage Team … Named Honorable Mention All-American … Voted to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for outstanding work in the classroom.
