2018 at Taylor: Continued to be a solid dual threat for the Trojans, coming up big at the plate and on the bump … Knocked five home runs and 48 hits in 47 starts and 58 games played … Finished fourth on the team with a .329 batting average, grabbing an eight-game hitting streak from March 26 to April 12 … Picked up multiple RBI in 10 contests, nabbing 38 on the season … Reached base at a .422 rate, landing 11 multi-hit games … Turned in an excellent offensive night against Mount Vernon Nazarene on May 4, batting 3-for-4 with two home runs … Started in all four Crossroads League Tournament games, batting .462 with a 1.154 slugging percentage and three home runs … Stepped up facing tough competition, going 6-for-15 with two doubles and three RBI against ranked opponents … Took the mound in 16 contests, picking up a pair of wins and 46 strikeouts … Was TU’s starting pitcher in nine matchups on his way to a 3.45 earned-run average … Began the season on fire, retiring the first nine batters faced … Allowed no runs during seven different appearances … Posted a strikeout in 15-of-16 outings, while landing at least four whiffs in five games … Suffocated opposing hitters, holding them to a .220 batting average … Cranked it up in league play, allowing just five earned runs in 23.2 innings of work while facing Crossroads League squads … Named First-Team All-Crossroads League as a hitter.
