
No. 18 Taylor Stays Steady in NAIA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Taylor baseball team (33-13, 26-6 CL) enters the final week of the regular season ranked 18th in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Rating, marking the third straight poll TU has been the No. 18 team. As with the previous poll, the only other Crossroads League team receiving top-25 consideration is Indiana Wesleyan (30-12, 24-8), who is receiving votes.
Among the national ranks, TU is tied-22nd in offense with 390 total runs scored and is third in the NAIA with 283 walks drawn, with Camden Knepp's 48 walks second among all players this season.
The Trojans' pitching staff has also been key to their success, boasting a 1.43 WHIP that is also tied-22nd best in the nation. The defense behind TU's hurlers has been just as good with a .971 fielding percentage that has it tied for 11th among NAIA teams.
Taylor carries a five-game winning streak and a six-game stretch of scoring 10-plus runs with it heading into its last Crossroads League series of 2024. which is set to begin Thursday, April 25 at 3 p.m. versus Goshen (12-32, 7-25 CL). TU can clinch the number-one seed in the CL as soon as Thursday with a pair of wins at Winterholter Field and help from around the league.
