TU Baseball Ranked 19th in NAIA Preseason Poll
NAIA Baseball Preseason Top 25
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2025 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Rating was released Wednesday, and Taylor slotted in at No. 19 as the lone Top-25 Crossroads League team in the poll.
Three consecutive 40-plus-win seasons that include two Crossroads League Tournament Championships and two CL regular season crowns have made the Trojans a mainstay in the coaches' poll of late.
Under seven-time Crossroads League Coach of the Year Kyle Gould, Taylor returns six All-CL players from the 2024 season, including the CL's Player of the Year, Mason David, and Pitcher of the Year, Gabel Pentecost.
Outfielders Kaleb Kolpien and Brayden Manning return as 2024 first-team selections, while two more returners, pitcher Nick Crabtree and first baseman Sam Gladd, were second-team selections last season.
Within the Crossroads League, against which Taylor went 30-6 in 2024, Indiana Wesleyan is the only other team that appeared in the poll as receiving votes.
TU's non-league schedule in late January and early February 2025 features trips to the Phoenix, Arizona, and Miami, Florida, metropolitan areas. It includes eight games versus teams that are ranked or receiving votes, highlighted by a matchup against No. 10 Arizona Christian on Jan. 25.
No. 19 Taylor opens its season in Mesa, Arizona, at the Gene Autry Baseball Complex against Benedictine Mesa on Jan. 24.
