
Taylor Football Ranks Among NAIA’s Best with 28 Scholar-Athlete Awards
UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor University football program added to its list of impressive accomplishments during its record-setting 2024 season, this time ranking among the best in the NAIA with 28 Scholar-Athletes as recently announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Taylor was represented on the list by Brady Beall, Alex Boothby, Jameson Chesser, Owen Frasure, Luke Graft, Matthew Hager, Jake Halderman, Vinnie Harder, Noah Heinen, Jacob Hockett, Hutson Hohlbein, Isaac Hoke, Aven Jones, Treyton Keele, Isaac Maas, Evan MacMillan, Reid Messer, Isaac Rans, Braxton Ream, David Richardson, Justin Schroeder, Kyle Turanchick, Parker Whitby, Adam Watson, David Wells, David Worlds, Hojun Yun and Aidan Zimmer.
To be eligible for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must possess a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale, while having attended at least one full year at their current institution.
In addition to Taylor's 28 NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the No. 22 Trojans posted a 9-2 record in 2024, trailing only Indiana University among all four-year football programs in the nation with a seven-win increase from the previous season.
