Bio

Jared Boddie is in his eighth year on staff with the Trojans and his fifth as the program’s defensive coordinator.

During the first year under Boddie’s direct watch in the spring of 2020, the Taylor defense ranked No. 8 in the NAIA in pass defense, No. 14 in total defense and No. 24 in scoring defense.

Boddie previously served on staff working with the TU linebackers and defensive backs from 2015 through 2017, before accepting a position on staff at NCAA Division II University of West Alabama.

During his two-year stint at UWA, Boddie worked with the linebackers and helped to coordinate the top-ranked rush defense and scoring defense in the Gulf South Conference, while also helping to guide the Tigers to an appearance in the NCAA Division II Playoffs during the 2018 campaign.

Boddie started his coaching career as an assistant coach for Keswick Christian High in Saint Petersburg, Florida, while gaining additional experience serving on staff at the Phillips Quarterbacks Academy.

Following the completion of his career on the gridiron with Taylor, Boddie graduated in 2013 with a degree in sport management and later added a master’s degree in sport management from West Alabama.
