TU Men Move Up to No. 6 in NAIA Top-25 Poll
NAIA Top 25 Rating - No. 1 (Sept. 26)
KANSAS CITY – The Taylor men's cross country team moved up two spots from the preseason rating, and is now ranked sixth in 2024's first NAIA Coaches' Rating, released Thursday.
Following an impressive season-opening win at the Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invitational on Sept. 6, TU leapfrogged No. 7 IWU and No. 8 Eastern Oregon to climb to No. 6 in the poll.
Taylor displayed remarkable depth in its season opener, with nine runners clocking times of 26:30.0 or better to finish inside the top 60 of 278 total runners.
Fresh off a personal-best time of 25:16.6, Joel Mumaw is joined by Nathan Burns, Luke Harber and Ryan Hanak headlining a squad on the rise.
Sixth-ranked TU looks to continue to impress when it competes Friday at the Mizzou Gans Creek Classic at 10:30 a.m. eastern.
