
Harber Paces No. 8 Taylor to Runner-up Finish
UPLAND, Ind. – The eighth-ranked Taylor men's cross country team totaled 52 points to clear No. 19 Grace by 30 points in a runner-up showing at its own Ray Bullock Invitational Friday afternoon, held at the TU Cross Country Farm.
No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan won the meet with a score of 32 points, while Lindsey Wilson and Saint Francis rounded out the top five squads.
Luke Harber paced the Trojans with a third-place performance, as he crossed the finish line in 25:33.9. Ryan Hanak joined Harber inside the top 10, finishing sixth overall with a time of 25:53.9.
All five team-contributing runners for Taylor ended among the 20 best runners, with Nathan Burns (11th place), Jared Stayte (14th) and Jordan Burden (18th) helping the cause.
Ethan Morgan and Joel Mumaw rounded out TU's top seven and placed inside the top 25 overall by registering times a couple ticks under 26:45.
A few spots back, Keenan Clegg just missed a personal record by running a 27:04.4, his best time and team finish (10th) of the season.
All 18 Trojans placed within the fastest 100 individuals at the invite out of a 139-man field, including 13 who finished among the top 50.
No. 8 Taylor (50-8) returns to action at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Oct. 26.
