
10 Taylor Men Recognized as NAIA Scholar-Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The eighth-ranked Taylor men's cross country team was recently recognized for its academic success as it claimed 10 NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards.
TU was one of just three Crossroads League men's cross country programs to collect double-figure Scholar-Athletes for the 2024 season.
Repeat Scholar-Athlete award winners for the Trojans were Grayson Rasmus, Alex Ortiz, Bryce Noble, Joel Mumaw, Zach McKowen, Ryan Hanak and Tiernan Bass. Jordan Burden, Kyle Sweeney and Zach McWatters each earned the academic honor for the first time.
To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.
