Natalie Young was named the associate director of intercollegiate athletics and senior women’s administrator in July of 2020, following three years as the women’s basketball assistant coach at TU.

Prior to coming to Upland, Young worked as an assistant coach at Bethel University for five years, while also serving as the school’s sports information director.

Young graduated from Bethel in 2008 with a degree in business administration and added a sports studies degree in 2011. During her time at Bethel, Young became the all-time leading scorer in the Crossroads League with 2,685 points and earned a trio of NAIA All-American honors. Following the conclusion of her playing career for the Pilots, Young was inducted into the Bethel Athletics Hall of Fame and her No. 20 jersey was retired.

The success followed Young to Upland, where she helped guide the Trojans to NAIA National Tournament appearances in each of her three seasons serving as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball program. In her time on the bench, TU posted an 84-20 record, won a Crossroads League Championship, advanced to the NAIA Elite Eight and set numerous program records.
