
Cheer Shines at Wildcat Invitational
MARION, Ind. – The Taylor competitive cheer team took the mat two more times on Saturday, posting the fifth and sixth-best scores in team history with a pair of marks above 82 points.
TU opened the day with an 82.90 to finish seventh-of-15, before coming back with its best performance of the weekend. In their third and final routine, the Trojans logged an 83.23 to finish fifth-of-11.
The two scores, combined with Friday's 81.27, pushed Taylor's season average to 81.16 and up to 10th in the NAIA among teams with more than two outings.
Taylor will return to action on February 23, when it hosts the Trojan Invitational with action set to begin at 6:00 pm inside Odle Arena.
