
TU Cheer Takes Fourth at Crossroads Championships
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – Taylor competed at the 2025 Crossroads League Competitive Cheer Championships on Saturday on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene. The Trojans took second in the prelims, before slipping to fourth in the overall standings in a tightly contested team leaderboard.
TU opened with a score of 81.96 in the preliminary round, which counted for 25 percent of the overall score. In the finals, Taylor scored an 81.70 to finish with an overall mark of 81.77. That score put Taylor just behind Marian and Saint Francis, who tied for second at 81.992.
The league championship competition brought an end to a historic season for Taylor, as the Trojans posted their five-best scores in the five-year history of the program and surpassed the 90.0-point mark for the first time.
