TU Cheer Garners Six NAIA Scholar-Athlete Honors
KANSAS CITY – The Taylor University competitive cheer program saw six student-athletes named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes recently, giving the Trojans the highest number in the Crossroads League for the second-straight year.
Taylor's six awards accounted for nearly one-third of the 19 honors picked up from CL athletes, with Annabel Boatwright, Peyton Bowers, Kaylyn Gates, Emma-Kate Moore, David Musser and Caroline Ray all earning the recognition.
To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale, while having attended one full year at their current institution.
