ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Aidan Craig notched one more Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference record in his final collegiate contest, dishing out six more assists in Taylor's 24-11 loss at No. 6 Concordia on Saturday to break the WHAC's record for the most assists in a single season.
With the six assists in his final game, Craig pushed his 2024 season total to 71, surpassing the previous WHAC single-season record of 68. In addition to holding the WHAC single-season assists record, Craig also owns the league's mark for most assists in a career (191) and most assists in a single game (14).
Craig's six assists and one goal paced the Trojans, as Jackson Dale also chipped in with a team-leading four goals, Carter Prieditis added three and Reid Gerig scored two.
TU just could not get enough attempts on offense to flirt with an upset of the host Cardinals (11-3, 8-0 WHAC), as CU completed its undefeated league season. Concordia won 28-of-37 faceoffs and used the extra possessions to rattle off 53 shots, compared to just 28 for Taylor. The shot differential was monumental in the first half, with TU being outshot by a 35-8 gap.
The loss brings an end to the 2024 campaign for Taylor, as the Trojans finished with an overall record of 5-10 and a 2-6 clip in league play.
