ST. LOUIS – Taylor men's lacrosse got into the win column with a convincing comeback win over Missouri Baptist (0-1) on the campus of Maryville University on Friday.
The Trojans started slowly and had to rebound from a 3-0 deficit but did so in resounding fashion by outscoring the Spartans with a 16-6 margin over the final three-and-a-half periods of action.
Taylor outshot MBU by a 61-33 gap on the day and owned an 11-3 scoring advantage over the final three periods.
Jackson Dale led the onslaught with seven goals and one assist, with Will Saxby adding five goals and seven ground balls. Henry Cooper also got into the action with a trio of scores and Jude Wood finished with one goal, one assist and five ground balls.
Casey Bane and Lucas Pacer fueled the defensive unit, with Bane posting five ground balls and four caused turnovers and Pacer adding four ground balls and four faceoff wins in seven attempts.
Taylor (1-1) will return to action on Thursday, February 27 with a neutral field match against Columbia (0-0) at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana.
