UPLAND, Ind. – Taylor had little trouble finding the win column on Thursday afternoon at Wheeler Field, making quick work of visiting Midland in a 14-2 victory.
Will Saxby found the net 1:45 into the contest and added a second goal later in the first, as Taylor put eight scores on the board before allowing one and was never threatened.
TU held a 53-12 advantage in shots and was led offensively by Saxby, who posted five goals in just seven shots and had four ground balls.
Jackson Dale, Jude Wood and Jack Kaiser each scored twice, while Lucas Pacer had three assists, seven ground balls and eight caused turnovers. Will Vanderkodde was also active with one goal, six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Taylor (5-2) will play at RV Mount Vernon Nazarene (6-0) on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 pm.
