
Trojan Women’s Basketball Claims Program-Record 10 Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY – The Taylor women's basketball team produced a program-record 10 NAIA Scholar-Athletes in the 2023-24 season. The list was released on Wednesday by the NAIA.
Among Crossroads League women's basketball teams, only Indiana Wesleyan had more Scholar-Athletes.
Repeating NAIA Scholar-Athletes for TU are Ava Henson, Jillian Osswald, Kendall Wayne, Claycee West, Taylor Westgate and Maycee Woods.
First-time recipients of the award at Taylor include Hope Custer, Quinn Kelly, Kacey Ott and Ainsley West to round out the 10 award winners.
To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.
