Henson Selected to Preseason All-Crossroads League Second-Team

JACKSON, Mich. – Graduate senior Ava Henson was named to the 2024-2025 Preseason All-Crossroads League Second-Team, as announced on Wednesday by the league in its preseason poll.

The honor is the first preseason selection for Henson in her career, though the guard was a Second-Team All-Crossroads League member following the 2023-2024 season and an Honorable Mention in the 2022-2023 campaign.

Henson, who is closing in on the 1,000-point milestone with her 982 career points, led Taylor in minutes played, points, field-goal percentage and three-point percentage a season ago. The Westfield, Indiana, native also finished inside the top 10 in the CL last season in each of the aforementioned categories.

While sharing ball-handling duties with several other veteran guards in 2023-2024, Henson collected 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game in addition to averaging 16.0 points.

Henson and the Trojans open their season inside Odle Arena on Friday, Oct. 25, versus Holy Cross. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
