
TU Women’s Basketball Hauls in Eight Scholar-Athlete Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Taylor women's hoops was recently recognized with eight players named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-2025 season.
TU's honorees were Ainsley West, Ava Henson, Kacey Ott, Katie Moyer, Kendall Wayne, Maddie Drye, Maycee Woods and Quinn Kelly. Henson headlined that list by collecting her fourth NAIA Scholar-Athlete nod, while seniors Wayne and Woods garnered the title for a third time in their careers.
The Trojans' eight recipients represented the third most among Crossroads League women's basketball teams, trailing just Indiana Wesleyan and Spring Arbor.
To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.0 scale, while having attended at least one full year at their current institution.
Taylor concludes its season at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel in hopes of sweeping the season series.
