
Hubbard Named to Preseason All-Crossroads League Team

JACKSON, Mich. – Following his selection as a First-Team All-Crossroads League performer one year ago, Jason Hubbard was chosen as one-of-11 players on the 2021-2022 Preseason All-Crossroads League Team announced by the league office on Wednesday.
In addition to becoming the first Trojan to earn First-Team All-CL accolades under head coach Josh Andrews, Hubbard also received his second-straight spot on the Crossroads League All-Defensive Team following his breakout 2020-2021 campaign.
During his junior year, Hubbard posted career-bests of 19.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, while also setting a personal-best with a 51.3-percent clip from the field. Hubbard led Taylor in rebounding, was second in scoring and ranked No. 28 in the NAIA with 461 total points at the conclusion of the regular season.
The Miamisburg, Ohio product ranked near the top of the Crossroads League in a host of statistics, finishing third with nine double-doubles, fifth in rebounds per game, fifth with 1.2 blocks per game and eighth in points per game, field goal percentage and a 79.7-percent free throw percentage. Hubbard was the only player in the CL to finish among the top-eight in the league in each category.
In addition to Hubbard, the Trojans return senior Aaron Hahn, junior Jeff Clayton and sophomores Gavin Yoon, Grant Niehaus and Kaden Fuhrmann as key contributors from the 2020-2021 club.
Taylor was selected eighth in the 2021-2022 Crossroads League Preseason Poll and will open its season at Aquinas on Tuesday, October 26. TU's first home game is set for Friday, November 5 against Rio Grande, with league play beginning on November 20.
