KANSAS CITY – The Taylor men's basketball team was excellent inside the classroom during the 2023-24 season, collecting five NAIA Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete awards, announced on Wednesday.
Midland (Neb.) the way with 14 honorees, with Spring Arbor leading the Crossroads League at eight followed by Taylor and two others with five.
Ben Michel, Carson Miller, Jackson Ullom, John McLimore, and Nate Paarlberg were among 572 men's basketball student-athletes from around the country honored for their achievements in the classroom.
To be eligible for an NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale while having attended one full year at their current institution.
