CL Athletes of the Week (Oct. 21-27) | TU Honors Page
JACKSON, Mich. – After helping TU to a perfect 2-0 start to the season out in Arizona, Anton Webb brought home the first Crossroads League Defensive Player-of-the-Week award of the season.
Webb was terrific for the Trojans down low over the pair of contests, averaging 10.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.0 steals. The senior stuffed the stat sheet and did it all for TU as he anchored the defense in the paint.
The Dayton, Ohio native grabbed an impressive 16 boards and logged a team-leading 32 minutes in the season-opening win over La Sierra, 84-74. He continued to put in good work in the second game just a day later, leading the squad with 14 points and six rebounds while swatting a pair of shots.
Taylor has earned 19 league player of the week awards in 2024-25, with men's basketball picking up its first honor since January of 2023.
The Trojans travel back to Upland, Indiana, for their home opener on Wednesday, October 30th, against Adrian (0-0), with tip-off set for 7:00 pm inside Odle Arena.
