JACKSON, Mich. – Anton Webb picked up his first Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Week nod after pouring in 41 points in a double-overtime victory over Indiana East (6-6, 1-0 RSC).
Webb had a stat-sheet-stuffing performance in an absolutely incredible game, scoring 41 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, dishing out nine assists, blocking a pair of shots, and notching a steal to push Taylor (9-4, 2-2 CL) to a 121-115 win on the road in double overtime.
The senior's terrific offensive showing saw him finish one assist shy of the first triple-double in program history as he scored 41 points on just 21 attempts from the field and got to the free throw line 20 times cashing in on 70 percent of them.
The big man assisted a key triple to send it to overtime and hit a free throw to make sure it went to a second extra period before scoring five points and dishing out three assists in the final extra session to secure the victory for the Trojans.
Taylor has earned 29 league athlete of the week awards in 2024-25, with men's basketball accounting for five.
The Trojans have on final non-league contest to end the calendar year against Northwestern Ohio (7-6, 4-3 WHAC) on Monday, December 30, tipping off at 4:00 pm, before CL action resumes in January.
